Other drumstick manufacturers offer sticks with nylon tips. Silver Fox offers an exclusive Delrin tip. Delrin is much denser and stronger than nylon, but does not add any additional weight to the tip of the drumstick. This provides more kinetic energy, allowing you to play ride cymbals faster than ever before. Del-tips are much more durable than nylon tips, and produce a far brighter sound on cymbals. Nylon is also susceptible to moisture changes (tip hardness can actually change by 20%) while Delrin is extremely consistent and completely weatherproof. |
