| All DM Drums custom snares feature 4.5 mm
supported Finnish Birch shells which are hand made to our exact
specifications by
Highwood Drums & Percussion of
Yorkshire, England. Our custom bearing edges are cut to 45 degrees
with exactly the roll over that recreates the elusive vintage sound.
The 3 mm snare beds are precisely hand cut to blend perfectly with
the custom bearing edge. All mounting holes are drilled with the
precision, accuracy and sympathy to the wood only available to the
most able craftsmen. Our hoops are triple flanged 2.3 mm pressed steel. Die cast hoops are available upon request at an additional cost. A wide selection of strainers are available including new Premier 0642 lever models as well as standard vintage styles. We can offer standard fit heads by Remo, Evans and Aquarian. We also offer other manufacturer's heads subject to availability and client specifications. Snare wires from many manufacturers are available as per the customer's specification. Finishes are limited only by your imagination and virtually any image, design or idea can be realised. Reclaimed 1940's birch supported shell covered with the Bermuda sand wrap, white interior, 8 mini mass lugs, 2.3 mm pressed steel hoops, lever style strainer, 20 strand wires, white coated batter head.
